Zach Spector rejoined Western Rivers Conservancy as Vice President in 2025 after a three-year hiatus in his home state of Texas. While in Texas, Zach worked as the Chief of Land and Conservation Initiatives at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Director of Conservation Programs at Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation. In these leadership roles, Zach was responsible for overseeing numerous strategic, cross-divisional real estate and conservation efforts, including landscape and watershed-scale conservation efforts with state, private, and NGO partners.
Zach returned toWRC where he worked for nearly a decade previously as Director of Government Affairs and Project Operations, helping to oversee complex land and water projects across the western United States. Zach holds an MBA and MS from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a BA from Vanderbilt University. In his free time, he enjoys flyfishing, wing shooting, and generally being outside with his family and black lab, Nina.
