Ellen Bernstein

Ellen joined Western Rivers Conservancy in March 2020 as the Individual Giving and Operations Manager and brings a decade of nonprofit experience to WRC. Prior to joining the organization, she worked in team development and volunteer management at AFS USA and as an independent design consultant. She grew up in Nebraska and earned her BA in Anthropology from the University of Oregon, where she also received an Outdoor Leadership Certificate. Her passion for being on the water stems from summers spent at a lake house in upstate New York and was solidified during her tenure as a program manager at the Aegean Institute scuba school in Greece. In her free time she likes to travel, scuba dive and explore the wonders of the Pacific Northwest, preferably by raft, sailboat or waterski.
