Elise Herron

Elise joined Western Rivers Conservancy’s Communications team in 2020. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Prescott College and has covered environment and conservation news for both local and national publications. Originally from Sisters, Oregon, she spent half a year as a volunteer park ranger in New Zealand before landing in Portland, where she now lives with her wife, Ash, and daughter, Arlo. In her free time, she enjoys rafting, reading, paddle boarding and biking.
