Thursday, July 19: Beaver Creek Restoration Tour
Find out how native plants are being used to improve habitat along the creek at Mt. Hood Community College. Get tips on how to get rid of invasive plants.

Saturday, July 28: Native Plant Walk
Learn about native plants while hiking along a scenic creek near Zigzag.

Saturday, July 28 and Monday, July 30:  Salmon Habitat Restoration Walk
Discover how large logs help create salmon habitat in the Clear Fork of the Sandy River.

Saturday, August 4: Wildflower Hike
Enjoy the wildflowers near Timberline Lodge on this hike in the upper Salmon River.

Saturday, August 25: Old Growth Forest Hike
Hike the Salmon River Trail to explore connections between old forests and the river.

Wednesday, August 29: Tour the Bull Run
Join the Portland Water Bureau and watershed council for a tour of the Bull Run watershed, the source of Portland’s drinking water.  $10 per person.

Saturday, September 15: Tour Mensinger Bottom
Join the Bureau of Land Management to tour habitat restoration work on this site that Western Rivers Conservancy set aside as open space in 2001. Contact: Salem BLM (503) 375-5687

Saturday, November 3: Salmon Spawning Hike
Watch coho salmon spawn on a hike to the mouth of Cedar Creek, near the city of Sandy.

Saturday, November 10: Fish Toss
Join the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council to distribute adult salmon carcasses that will nourish young salmon and the Sandy River ecosystem.
