Phillip Wallin co-founded Western Rivers Conservancy and serves as the organization's President. In 1988, Phil created River Network, which once housed Western Rivers Conservancy. Prior to establishing Western Rivers Conservancy, he was a founding staff member of the Trust for Public Land. During his fifteen-year career there, he helped to establish the land trust and urban programs, and served as Southwest Regional Director. Phil graduated from Stanford University and received his J.D. from the Chicago University School of Law.

Sue Doroff

Sue Doroff co-founded Western Rivers Conservancy and serves as Vice-President. She brings with her twenty years of experience in conservation, commercial real estate and economic development, focusing extensively on private-public partnerships and cooperation. Sue is responsible for the long-term protection of more than 10,000 acres of riverlands in the Pacific Northwest, including lands on the Skagit, South Fork Stillaguamish, Hoko, Humptulips and Willamette Rivers. Sue received her B.S. from the University of Maryland and did her graduate work in Urban and Regional Planning at George Washington University.

Alan Christensen

Alan joined WRC in 2007 and has nearly 35 years experience working in land management, land protection and wildlife management for state, federal and private conservation organizations in the West.  He most recently retired from the U.S. Forest Service where he was Assistant Director for Natural Resources in Region 6 (Oregon and Washington).  A wildlife biologist by training, Alan holds both a Bachelor and Masters degree from Oregon State University.

Jenny Andrews joined Western Rivers Conservancy in 2003 after graduating from Willamette University with a degree in Environmental Science, bringing with her a background in newspaper journalism and science writing.

Hannah Davidson

Hannah Davidson joined Western Rivers Conservancy in 2002 as the Director of Administration. She brings with her twenty years of administration and management experience primarily in non-profit organizations, including Friends of the Columbia Gorge. Hannah holds a B.A. in European History from the University of California at San Diego and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.

Josh Kling

Josh Kling is Western Rivers Conservancy's Project Manager. He began working with the Conservancy in 1999, and brings with him eight years of experience in field biology. He specialized in ecological monitoring while working for the U.S. Forest Service at the Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. Josh is also a Board Member with Friends of Opal Creek and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Marie C. & Joseph C. Wilson Foundation. Josh has a B.S. in Biology from Lewis and Clark College.

Mat Millenbach

Mat Millenbach recently joined the WRC staff, where he is responsible for assessing the long-term results of land acquisition projects and for developing new conservation opportunities.  Mat previously worked for The Conservation Fund for four years as a field representative in the West. During the past two winters, he also worked for the Yellowstone Association Institute. Mat also worked for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management for 30 years, serving in four western states and in Washington, DC.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Lands Foundation and the Yellowstone Association.

Russ Pinto joined Western Rivers Conservancy in 2004 as California Director. With an outstanding record of leadership in land acquisition and conservation, Russ is spearheading WRC's Bay Area office to advance our California campaign. Russ worked for 13 years as the Director of Land Protection for the Oregon State Office of the Nature Conservancy, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of the state's land protection program. Prior to that, he served as Senior Project Manager for the Trust for Public Land. Russ received his B.A. from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.

Anne joined Western Rivers Conservancy in 2006 as Administrative and Development Assistant. Anne graduated from the University of Oregon with degrees in History and Political Science. A skilled fly fisher, Anne brings with her several years of experience in the non-profit field, previously working for the Native Fish Society as Administrative Assistant.

Cam Tredennick

Cam joined Western Rivers Conservancy at the beginning of 2008. He will open a WRC office in Sacramento, with one half his work taking place in California, and half in other Western States. Prior to WRC, Cam accumulated 15 years experience working in land conservation law, public land management, and land acquisition. Most recently, as a project director for the Nature Conservancy in San Diego, Cam closed several transactions valued at over $30 million and leveraging millions of additional federal and state funds. He received his undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College and has a law degree from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

David Wilkins

David Wilkins is WRC's Development Director. He brings to the organization a long history of fundraising for river and forest protection. Most recently, he was Development Director for Oregon Natural Resources Council and prior to that, he worked with several of WRC's current staff at River Network. David earned a B.A. in History at the College of Wooster. He enjoys kayaking, hiking and tennis.

Willis Yarberry

A talented veteran in the land conservation community, Willis joined
Western Rivers Conservancy in 2008.  He is spearheading WRC's new office in Helena, Montana, and will work throughout the Interior West to acquire land and save endangered river landscapes.  Willis most recently worked for the Nature Conservancy in Montana as Director of Major Projects and Government Relations.  In this position, he oversaw the protection of thousands of acres of open space for habitat protection and public enjoyment.
