Mill Creek is a blue-ribbon wild trout stream of the Ozark Plateau. In a partnership with the Mid-Missouri Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Western Rivers Conservancy purchased a 304-acre property along Mill Creek, including nearly a mile of stream frontage. The goals were to protect important habitat for wild trout and hardwood riparian forests, as well as improve public access to this popular fishery. The land is now owned and managed by the Mark Twain National Forest.
