British Columbia mountain bikers David Shaw and Henry Fitzgerald wrapped up a week of warm-weather cycling in California a few days ago and headed back north. Along the way, though, there was one last stop to make in Oregon – the Sandy Ridge Trail System.
"Friends in B.C. told us we had to try it out," said Fitzgerald, 17, who, like Shaw, is a nationally-ranked Canadian mountain biker. "They just said it's a super awesome trail."
With the pending sale of 188 acres of forestlands owned by Clackamas County, the system's 15 miles of forested, single-track trails east of Sandy are about to get more super awesome.
