$2.8 million of GOCO funds aimed at more Costilla open space

Great Outdoors Colorado granted $2.8 million Monday toward conservation work aimed at balancing habitat and recreation along the Rio Grande and Conejos rivers.

The award was given to Portland-based Western Rivers Conservancy, whose efforts may eventually result in more than 16,000 acres of public open space in Costilla County.
