Field Guide

At Western Rivers Conservancy, we protect land along the finest rivers in the West. We do it for the sake of native fish and wildlife and to open public access to our most outstanding riverlands for compatible use and enjoyment. Not only are these rivers the scenic centerpiece for their community, they are the favorite haunts of boaters, anglers and hikers.

The following links will help you explore hiking and fishing opportunities along the lands Western Rivers Conservancy has preserved. Check back regularly for additions to this guide.

Anglers fish for bass on the John Day River, where WRC recently created Oregon's second largest state park in partnership with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
